Hello Friends!
For the past 12 years, I have been blessed to have a fantastic job where I have invested in the lives of my students at Edison Computech Middle School in Fresno. I have enjoyed every minute of teaching critical thinking and teamwork through my Engineering classes, creativity and problem-solving in my design classes, and positive self-worth and determination in coaching. As a husband and father, I have made every effort to raise my kids in honoring ways and pour into my amazing wife, Janna. This month marks a considerable change for myself and my family. I am leaving Fresno Unified, and together with my family, will be moving to Mississippi to start a new chapter in the Vinson Family. My wife and I purchased a 72-acre Christian Retreat center called Pineview, located in rural Attala County, about an hour north of Jackson, Mississippi, and 2 hours south of Memphis, Tennessee. It currently sleeps around 200 in nice, air-conditioned rooms. Still, we have immediate plans to add rustic "cabins" to offer a more traditional summer camp experience. The facility is turn-key, complete with a dining hall, chapel, gym, multiple commercial kitchens, pool, wedding venue, and staff housing. We're jumping right in! Our first group (who thankfully and mercifully is running their own program, we're just hosting and providing meals) arrives on Monday, June 14! If you are a Believer, prayer for kingdom impact is very much appreciated. I hope this is not " goodbye " to the countless amazing people I've grown to know in California.
